We looked at three horses and could not make up or mind (my daughter and I).  When we found Ed's ad, we took him along with us.  The first horse was lame; right hind leg- old stifle problem.  Ed found it loping circles.  The second horse was exceptional, only it was so barn sour out in the people's front yard it was downright dangerous.  We actually went back and rode this horse twice, but each time was in a controlled environment.  The third horse was not near as pretty and flashy as the other two, but was so incredibly honest, we bought him.  The first two were duds, but we were so busy looking at how pretty they were, we almost overlooked the important part: soundness and sanity.   Thanks to Ed, we found the right horse.

I needed to have a flashy horse.  I needed to have a palomino to ride in parades.  I ran an ad in a horse magazine and had people call from ten states with prices from $2500 to $50,000.  I saw Ed's ad and we set up a meeting to go over the list that I had compiled.  In the list, there was an intriguing old man who did parade his horse and Ed suggested we give him a call.  The old man lived in Johnstown, PA, but agreed to meet us in Pittsburgh near the airport.  If the horse did what the old man said it would do, I was to pay for the horse, $4,000 cash right there.  If it didn't, I was to pay him $150.00 for expenses bringing the horse down.  The horse was terrific, not as dark a palomino as I wanted  but a spectacular individual.  Champ will live on my farm forever.  Thanks to Ed, we saved lots of time and money traveling the countryside.  Ed's hunch about the old man was right.  Great idea, Ed.
